The Guido Restaurant inside the Villa Reale premises illuminated by Metis represented an experiment of transforming a historical space into a more gracious and accommodating context within tight restrictions. The restaurant is composed by a sequence of convivial rooms with eclectic decoration, painted ceilings, and gracious gypsum mouldings.

Metis’ lighting project aimed at providing enough light for reading the aesthetics of the space introducing a low number of lighting components. A central pendant with diffuse light sheds light on the decorated ceilings and on the dining tables.

Decorative floor or wall lamps complete the light scene which is flexible for setting the brightness of the space from lunch to dinner, balancing the daylight entering the space from the large windows.
