MONTENAPOLEONE
The underlying intention when approaching the project for the new Bvlgari boutique on Via Monte Napoleone was to deliver a unique experience through a refined interpretation of lighting design. Every decision by the Design Team and the architects involved in specific interventions was guided by the clear vision to create an engaging space that balances monumental character with warmth and a sense of human scale.
Precious materials like marble and bronze establish grandeur, while curated artworks, paintings and sculptures, echoing ancient subjects rooted in the brand’s Roman quintessence, evoke an enveloping and gentle light.
The lighting concept develops around an invisible, soft intention, a specific atmosphere that becomes a common thread between the rooms and makes the details, accents, and tones coherent and recognizable.
The jewellery display cases feature varied typologies unified by cohesive design and consistent lighting: each balances diffused light with precise accents to showcase pieces with exceptional brilliance. High-performance fixtures with excellent colour rendering were specified throughout to honour the natural beauty of the jewels and gems.
Of particular note is the sculptural helical staircase, highlighted with a diffused linear light that emphasizes its volume and sinuous form.
All lighting fixtures, as a defining trait of our approach, are highly shielded and harmoniously integrated into the architectural elements, following the rhythm and spatial equilibrium of the boutique. Different fixture typologies were selected for each area to respond to specific functional needs and adapt to the surrounding finishes, creating distinct atmospheric and aesthetic qualities throughout the space.
The lighting solution enhances the monumental quality of the interior while creating an intimate, delicate experience. Every element has been carefully considered to exalt the atmosphere while remaining functionally invisible, allowing the interplay of light, space, and craftsmanship to create its own gentle poetry.
