In this project, the architect wanted to insert a lighting fixture for illuminating the high ceiling lobby and at the same time create a feature suitable for the slightly monumental context. For this reason, the design is inspired from the design of the existing building and the Italian rationalism. The lantern is composed by a body with a large diffusing surface and two components for direct light on top and in the bottom for illuminating the area below and revealing the ceiling as well. The resulting feature is a functional luminaire, being at the same time integral part of the interior design of the space.
