For the Check-in area, the architects wanted to create a more intimate zone and for this reason, under the significantly high ceiling, they positioned a lower canopy for reducing the perception of the space. That’s how the metal mesh was introduced, and consequently, the lighting fixtures to be positioned inside. This lighting fixture was conceived and manufactured as woven inside this slightly curved mesh, so it was a complicated ambition since the beginning. The most important complication was the power feed, which was achieved by substituting the structural rods with 6 mm tubes, for permitting the cables to pass through. But since the appearance was the same, the result was a very seemingly light mesh with woven lighting elements inside, without any visible cable.
